Michael called to say there is no internet access until probably Leon. It’s also been “#%@*ing raining for the entire day”. Right now he’s in a small town that was the bread basket of the Western Roman Empire: Fromista. Shin splints are flaring up, and his rest day may have to come sooner than later.
Who knew that walking could cause so many ailments – blisters, sore knees and shin splints!!! At least the food, company and scenery is good!
Wow, sounds interesting… I hate to sound stupid… but what’s a Camino?
I have been looking and could not find any real answers in Google… I am guessing it is like a pilgrimage, but not strictly speaking a religious one? Or am I dim? Well… Rick and Michael know me fairly well, so they know I can be a bit thick at times…
Anyway, whatever the reasons keep on going Michael! You can do it!
Hi Scott!
The Camino is short for the Camino de Santiago de Compestella. It is a walk across northern Spain.
